"Star Trek" Sequel Pushed Back To May 2013

Paramount Pictures has pushed its "Star Trek" sequel back, from June 2012 to May 17, 2013.

To be directed, written and produced by JJ Abrams, the 3D sequel will star returning actors Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Anton Yelchin and Zoe Saldana.

Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are also producing the new film with Bryan Burk.

The first "Star Trek" movie reboot, with a reported production budget of $150 million, was released May 8, 2009, earning a domestic box office gross of $257,730,019 and a foreign gross of $127,950,427, for a worldwide total gross of $385,680,446.
