Producer Peter Segal ("Get Smart") will adapt Tite Kubo's Japanese comics 'manga' series "Bleach" into a live-action feature flm, from a screenplay by Dan Mazeau ("Wrath of the Titans").
Debuting as a serial in the magazine "Weekly ShÅmen Jump," premise of "Bleach" follows 'Ichigo Kurosaki', who can see 'ghosts'.
After meeting up with 'Rukia Kuchiki', who can track 'evil spirits' called 'Hollows', she transfers her powers to Ichigo who takes up the mantle of 'Soul Reaper', escorting departed souls into the afterlife.
The third Warners animated "Bleach" feature, "Bleach the Movie: Fade to Black" was released November 2011.
