Rosario Dawson Leads The "O.C.T.: Occult Crimes Taskforce"

Producer Gale Ann Hurd continues to develop a TV pilot for A&E, written by Jorge Zamacona ("Third Watch"), adapting Image Comics' "O.C.T.: Occult Crimes Taskforce".

The 4-issue comic book mini-series was created by actress Rosario Dawson, writer David Atchison and illustrator Tony Shasteen.

For the pilot, Dawson ("Sin City") will take on the lead role of 'Investigator Sophia Ortiz', alongside characters 'Detective Aaron Cain', 'Detective Mucilinda', 'Detective Jack Faust', 'Detective Annis Lythe', 'Investigator Robert Dospil' and 'Sergeant Jim "Grim" Mettler'.

"The primary mission of the OCT is to serve and protect the Manhattan populace from 'magical contaminations' of 'Rogue Ceteri' (other-dimensional creatures) and the 'Tainted', known as practitioners who exploit magic for personal gain at the expense of the citizenry.

"The OCT precinct is located near the inter-dimesional 'Extant' portal, in an area of Manhattan referred to as the 'Otherground'. Due to the Otherground’s proximity to the Extant's center, it is a haven for supernatural activity..."
