Thanks to the box office performance of DC Comics adaptation "Justice League", Warners has earned more than $5 billion at the global box office this year, bringing good news to the studio, and to filmmakers, actors who earn profit participant 'points' for their work:
Recent releases pushing the studio over the top include Gal Gadot in "Wonder Woman" ($821.8M)...
...child-killing horror exploitation slasher "It" ($694.2M), giant monkey monster movie "Kong: Skull Island ($566.7M), Christopher Nolan's WWII epic "Dunkirk" ($525.0M) and superhero team up "Justice League" ($570.3M).
"We are thrilled to reach this extraordinary benchmark as we come to the end of an amazing, record-setting year", said Sue Kroll, WB President Worldwide Marketing and Distribution.
"Surpassing $5 billion in a single year can only happen with an incredible level of hard work across all theatrical divisions, as well as the invaluable contributions of the many talented filmmakers and actors with whom we are so fortunate to collaborate. Congratulations to everyone who shares in this success..."
