"Conan The Barbarian"

According to reports, "Colony" co-creator Ryan Condal and "Game of Thrones" director Miguel Sapochnik, will produce a new live-action "Conan The Barbarian" TV series, that will take author Robert E. Howard's 'Hyborian' age 'Cimmerian', back to his "...literary origins..."

"...driven out of his tribal homelands, 'Conan' wanders the mysterious and treacherous world of civilization...

"...where he searches for purpose...

"...in a place that rejects him as a mindless savage..."

The character was created by writer Howard in 1932 for a series of fantasy stories published in "Weird Tales" magazine.

Illustrator Frank Frazetta's iconic interpretation of Conan started with a series of  1960's Lancer pocketbooks...

...redefining the genre and influencing succeeding generations of artists.

The last Conan TV series was "Conan  The Adventurer" (1997) starring actor Ralf Moeller ("Gladiator").
