Spielberg's Live-Action "Halo"



"Halo", the live action outer space TV series executive produced by Steven Spielberg, adapting the military science fiction first-person shooter video game franchise, will stream in 2022 on Paramount+:


Cast includes Pablo Schreiber as 'John-117', Yerin Ha as 'Kwan Ha', Natasha McElhone as 'Catherine Halsey', 'Cortana',Bookeem Woodbine as 'Soren-066', Shabana Azmi as 'Margaret Parangosky', Bentlet Kalu as 'Vannak-134', Natasha Culzac as 'Riz-028' and Kate Kennedy as 'Kai-125'.


"Halo" games, created by Bungie and developed by 343 Industries, a subsidiary of Microsoft Studios, follows an interstellar war between humanity and a theocratic alliance of aliens known as the 'Covenant'.


The Covenant, led by religious leaders the 'Prophets', worship the ancient civilization 'Forerunners', who perished in combat during the 'Parasitic 'Flood'.


'Master Chief John-117' is one of a group of supersoldiers codenamed 'Spartans', teamed with AI companion 'Cortana' .


The term 'Halo' refers to the 'Halo Rings' habitable superweapons.


Previously, live-action mini web series "Halo: Forward Unto Dawn" (2012) consisted of five 15-minute weekly episodes.
