Directed by Matthew Vaughn ("Kick-Ass") , based on characters appearing in Marvel Comics, the feature is the fifth installment of the "X-Men" film series and a prequel to the first three movies.
Cast includes James McAvoy as 'Professor X' and Michael Fassbender as 'Magneto', with Kevin Bacon, January Jones, Rose Byrne, Jennifer Lawrence and Lucas Till.
Fox envisions this film as the first in a new trilogy.
Distributed by 20th Century Fox, "X-Men: First Class" opens June 3, 2011.
