The new movie is directed by Tim Burton, starring actor Johnny Depp as 'Barnabas Collins', a 200 year old vampire.
"...in 1752, the 'Collins' family sails from Liverpool, England to North America. The son, 'Barnabas', grows up to be a wealthy playboy in Collinsport, Maine and master of 'Collinwood Manor'.

Cast also includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Thomas McDonell, Jonny Lee Miller, Chloë Moretz, Gulliver McGrath, Helena Bonham Carter, Jackie Earle Haley, Bella Heathcote, Ray Shirley, Ivan Kaye, Christopher Lee and rocker Alice Cooper as himself.
Produced by Burton, Graham King, Christi Dembrowski, Depp, David Kennedy and Richard D. Zanuck, the "Dark Shadows" screenplay is by Seth Grahame-Smith from a story by Grahame-Smith and John August, based on "Dark Shadows" by Dan Curtis.
From Studio Village Roadshow Pictures, GK Films, Infinitum Nihil and The Zanuck Company, to be distributed by Warner Bros., "Dark Shadows" opens May 11, 2012 in both conventional and IMAX theaters.
