"Marvel's Moon Knight" To The Big Screen ?

According to new reports, "Guardians Of The Galaxy" writer/director James Gunn would like to develop a "Moon Knight" feature based on the Marvel Comics character:

"Oh my God," said Gunn, "I love 'Moon Knight'. I have a great idea for a movie..."

"Moon Knight" was created for Marvel Comics by writer Doug Moench and illustrator Don Perlin, debuting in Marvel's "Werewolf by Night" #32 (August 1975).

'Marc Spector' was a boxer, US Marine and mercenary, who became a costumed superhero, as a result of a visitation by the Egyptian moon god 'Khonshu'.

His strength, endurance and reflexes are enhanced depending upon the phases of the moon. The fuller the moon, the more strength 'Moon Knight' derives from it.

It's not known how much of this strength is mystical and how much is simply the result of self-hypnosis due to his mental/psychological instability. Due to his multiple personalities, Spector is also resistant to psychic attacks, sometimes receiving prophetic visions.
