The NBC fantasy/mystery/crime/cop TV series "Grimm" has now been renewed for a second season.
The network committed to a second season, following a bloodbath of drama cancellations including "The Playboy Club", "The Firm" and "Prime Suspect".
"Grimm" is set in a dark and fantastical world where characters inspired by classic "Grimm's Fairy Tales" exist :
"...Portland, Oregon homicide 'Detective Nick Burkhardt' discovers he is descended from an elite line of criminal profilers known as 'Grimms', charged with keeping a delicate balance between humanity and the mythological creatures of the world..."
"Grimm" was created by Stephen Carpenter, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, starring David Giuntoli, Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Silas Weir Mitchell, Sasha Roiz and Reggie Lee.
Producers are Steve Oster and Stephen Welke for Universal Television, GK Productions, Hazy Mills Productions and Open 4 Business Productions, LLC.
"Grimm" is distributed by NBCUniversal Television Distribution.
